How do I set up my Network to NOT share internet

I searched but I just cant find what I need, I live in a fairly busy part of town and I am afraid my connection is slowing from to many people on my DSL, I use a Belkin wireless router G for the times I use the lap top up stairs and to share listen to my iTunes.

How do I make it so one must enter a password to use the connection?

those options can be set up in your routers settings, read the manual for your router for specific instructions...it is pretty easy to set it up
