Hi,

My name is John and I am new here. I ordered a Macbook Pro last week.
I'm finally switching over to Apple after being a PC user since 1993.
I want to know what modem that you recommend? I have done a search,
and the only thing that I really find is router recommendations.
Right now I have a Linksys BEFCMU10 modem with a WRT54GS router
set up. I don't expect my computer to arrive for a couple more weeks,
and want to prepare the best set up that I can.

Do you think that this setup will suffice, or should I look into getting
a different modem, and the airport router?

I look forward to your answers!

Thanks...........................John

if that WRT54GS is the wireless model, which I think it is, cant remember now, then you will be fine as that router is good

I have the same router. Works a treat. I also use a Billion ADSL 2+ modem with my MBP. Never skips a beat.
