OK. i have been using my airport extreme for a NAS drive for a few months now (old 120GB HD), but the other day i saw a 500gb drive (Acomdata e5) for real cheep so i got it. I would like to now use my new HD but now when i plug it in, my airport blinks green 2 times and then turns amber and stops working altogether. If i then unplug my HD or turn it off, the router will then start to correct itself and start working again. I have been able to get the Airport to recognize the HD, but as soon as i try and access the drive from eater my mac or pc the airport freaks out and crashes all over again. So my questions are; Any ideas what is happening? Is there anything i can do to fix this?
