Wat is it about OSX and networking? I've fired up my MacBook and clicked on the Network thing in the sidebar and it says "The volume for Network cannot be found." The only way I can get to network shares is Cmd+K and type the IP address, then authenticating, I can't get into the Network link at all (the entry under Computer is just empty). And this is a freshly-installed OSX, about four days old.

I can't remember one week where there wasn't a problem with OSX's networking.

Ahha - fixed it. I found a thread on the Apple forum about this - Choose Finder -> Preferences and turn the Network item off in the Sidebar, then reboot and turn it back on.

Linky.
