I have a macmini shared out so that I can access the files on that computer from my g4.
The macmini is the email computer. I sometimes need to grab a file that a customer has sent in order to provide the customer with a quote.
I can copy files to the g4, but can not delete the original file from the mini via the g4. I don't want to have to call the person who works on the mini to tell them that it's OK to toss the file, when I have no further use for it. Nor do I want to have to walk over to the other office and physically delete it.
Is there a way to set up sufficient privileges on the mini to allow me to manage the files located there?
I don't really want to set the g4 as the owner of the mini, as I don't want to mess up the ability of anyone operating the mini to manage it.
Is there a way to make this work for all involved.
Thanks for any help.
