I'd be more inclined to view it if it didn't tell me "Windows XP SP2 or Vista only."

Not worth the time that I would wait for XP to boot up.

I saw this video a couple days ago. It was absolutely stunning. Now, if you combined this technology with Microsoft's recently announced Surfaces, that would be one killer app!!

The photo recognition and search would be nice, but creating a 3D environment from pictures of various location wouldn't look quite so beautiful and seamless. Different people use different cameras, different quality, different lighting conditions. Obviously the pics used for the demo were taken with one camera all at once in a fixed location.

Interesting stuff though. Photo, audio and video recognition and search ability is probably going to be the next big step in web surfing. I know Google is working on this, but I don't have any sources on info to share.

the camera used was not high end but ordinary digital photos, the the technology takes care of the imaging.. not the camera, if you have an ordinary digital camera 3-6 megapixels and the most importantly a highend monitor then the universe is the limit... your right kash if they pair this with surfaces.. WOWWW loooks like bill is trying to resurge his aging base to cope with the next generation of MAC... wish steve got there first though...
