I think the whole superhero thing is losing steam again. Did anyone else think Spiderman 3 was extremely poorly done?? I would be surprised to see another. Another Hulk after the last flop would be surprising too, but they did make a decent comeback in the Batman series with Batman Begins.

I was dragged kicking and screaming to Spiderman II. But I get a kick out J.K. Simmons, who plays the over-the-top newspaper editor. He's the same guy who plays Skoda — the shrink named after a car — on Lawn Order.
Spiderman III is universally panned by the critics, so I won't bother with it. Anyway, Tobey Maguire has all the screen presence of Clint Howard.

I heard an interview with Kirsten Dunst complaining about having to do a third one, then caught word that there are plans in the works to make up to a 7th. I don't really think they'll make it that high.
