Sharing my laptop to another laptop

i have done going doing system preference>sharing>personal sharing on on both computers.. after going to finder>network, i now can see the other's computer name. after clicking the icon, it askes me for a password. iv entered my password and it says "Unknown user, incorrect password, or login is disabled. Please retype the name and password or contact the server's administrator." i cant be wrong with my password. so my question are what am i doing wrong and is my password different from the network password??
