I'm a new mac user - had my macbook for 4 days now, love it love it love it! Don't know why I didn't switch earlier.... BTW, can anyone tell me how to enlarge my windows- like the Safari browser, to fill the whole desktop, I'm still using the smaller centered windows and can't figure out how to change that

Top left, you should have 3 buttons- red, yellow and green. The green will maximise the windows to the largest size needed, so not necessarily full screen. You could always do it manually, by clicking and dragging the lower right corner of the browser window.

OSX teaches you how to actually utilize the whole screen. I never maximize my windows anymore. I get annoyed when people do it now.
