Is it possible to connect to a Mac from a PC not on your own network? Just say if I was at work, with my PC, and I wanted to access files on my Mac at home... Sorta like gotomypc... Do you guys know if this is possible or know of any programs out there that can do this?

As long as your Mac has an external IP (i.e., not 192.168.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x, etc), should be possible.

Actually, there's a free service (now owned by Microsoft) called FolderShare that allows you to do this.

You can access your files remotely, even if you have a dynamic IP address and your computer is sitting behind a NAT firewall.

I've only messed with it for a couple days, but it seems to work. I was able to access files on my PC at home from my Mac on the road. (Well, not actually on the road... :)
