God, I had another title for this thread, but I thought it might have been inappropriate. It concerned a cherry...

Anyway, I just came back from seeing my first opera. It was phenominal. I absolutely loved it! I am a huge fan of classical music of all kinds, so I was in heaven.

Just had to spread my happiness (like Chibi-Robo!)

Glad you had a great time. Can't believe I've never been to an opera! I have gone to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra though. That was something more than amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone.

i saw handel's messiah performed at St Paul's cathedral in St Paul (about 15 min from my house).

it was really pretty amazing.

what was the opera you saw, anything obvious that we'd know (like carmen, don giovanni, or the marriage of figaro)?

Marriage of Figaro :p

I saw it at Playhouse Square in CLeveland for anyone familiar with Cleveland.

You should checkout Anna Netrebko stuff. In my opinion she is as good as Maria Callas.
