ok here's a doosey

I have an audio cord from the star-choice box running into the input on my MacBook Pro. It will record just perfect using Audacity. However, I would like to be able to record while also letting the sound go to my stereo.

I already have the headphone jack hooked into the stereo, and it works. all the usual sounds are already coming through the stereo; computer sounds, i-tunes etc. are all fine.

So how can I hear the sound from line in on my mac?

Do you want to play the Sound in on your Macs speakers or on your stereo?

I want to play the sound from the line in on either my mac speakers, or on my stereo.

The sound for everything comes out of the mac laptop speakers. Then I can just plug in a cord from the stereo to the headphone jack.

So I just need to be able to hear the sound from line-in on my laptop speakers.
