I think it wants you to do that for the reason being that the 2 sound cards will sound different, and you are going to want to know what your project will sound like from the card that is mixing out. What would be the reason for using 2 different sound cards since I don't know much about audio mixing?

one is for prelistening (monitoring)the mix... and the othes is the main mix..

suposse you are playing song X in one deck... now you put the song Y on to the other deck... before you crossfade to the otrher song you can her it on the monitors :)

thats waht i wanted to do... i have solved the problem...

thanx anyway

Re:

sorry..

ok... umm...

the trick is about setting the external sound card and the built in output as the same sound card..

i conected my fast track and i went to Utilities*, then to Midi Audio Config*.. the one ehit the keyboard in the icon...hehe.. Audio Devices*... Properties of*.. in the list was

Integrated Mic
Built in input
Built in output
Built in input (aggregated)
Fast Track (aggregated)
Fast Track (aggregated) again..

so i selected one of the two fast tracks.. but only one has Audio output*...choosed that.. so i click in Config Device*... something pop-up.. and there i selected the fast track and the built in output...

i opened tracktor, i went to preferences in there i selected the fast Track (aggregated) so in the art that you config the outputs for mix and monitoring (boost and record too) it was 4 outputs avalible.. so i set the first two for monitoring.. and the others for the mix... it worked very well..

i think it could be done with other usb external soundcards.

*my OS is in spanish so idont know how is it called in english..u_u

i hope this could help others n_n
