alternatives to the 23-inch Cinema HD Display

What are some viable alternatives to the 23-inch Apple Cinema HD Display?

I've heard good and bad about the Apple displays.

Both Dell and Viewsonic make very well regarded 23" and 24" monitors. These are well worth looking at as well.
