I was reading the forums tonight, and my mouse pointer at some point came to rest on the little green squares underneath someone's name in the left side of their post. Guess what? There is a "tool tip" sort of pop up there, with a message that seems related to the number of green squares the poster has.

Try it - interesting and fun (...for a while anyway!). Is this a new feature of Mac-Forums, or has it been there all along and I am stupid enough to have just stumbled across it?

Thanks mathogre. Is the User Reputation Manager available to we humble users, or is this only available to Admins? For example, could eric get his wish and change his reputation string to "is just really nice"?

No, the text changes to a preset value with your levels.

Assuming it has been set up the way it's done on other vBulletin forums, members simply add reputation to other members by clicking on the "Check/X" link underneath a person's avatar and info. You cannot just keep adding reputation to a single member or small group of members; you must spread it around somewhat.

I believe more reputation points are given to a person when the giver has high reputation; fewer points are given from folks with low reputation. A person cannot change their reputation directly.

You can see your reputation level obivously by the tool tips for the little green squares. You can also see the specific rep score by following the "Profile" link toward the top of any of the forum pages.

Hope this helps!!!!
