I was just setting up my media center PC and i was think how nice it would be to use the frontRow Interface on it. What do you think are the chances of it being bundled with Itunes or you could by a usb receiver and the remote for 50 bucks or so

I think the chances of it being bundles with iTunes is very slim.

you can download frontrow for free off of apples website though and run it on any OS X 10.4 and up (i think) machine. A few files in the updater package need to be modifed though so it can be installed.

Yeah, thats the file you need to modify, the file that checks to see if your system has an IR reciever built in.

Just click on the Menu button on the little white remote while aiming at the apple logo (I have an iMac so I'm not too sure how it goes on a MacBook).

The other day I realised that if I press Command+Esc, this also launches Front Row.

Command+Esc also works on the MacBook.

G'day mathogre, just wondering ... MacBooks don't have the remote that comes stuck to the iMacs? The little white one...is Command+Esc the only way to launch Front Row ... ?

Macbooks come with the remote. And Cmd+Esc is the universal hotkey set by Apple.

Yea, pretty sure all the intel-based Macs come with a remote for Front Row. The sensor for the Macbooks and MBPs is next to the switch to open up the lid.
