I'm currently using a cable internet connection on my iMac, but thinking of getting Airport to wirelessly connect my Mac and PC. Yet I'm wondering - Is the Airport wireless internet as fast as my current cable ethernet connection or is ii like using dial-up wirelessly?

it depends which airport you have...if you have the graphite one..i think its a B version so its 10mb and same with the snow one too, now the extreame airport is the G version which i believe is 54mb so even with both they are going to be faster than your cable connect or darn close

actually, for your internet 802.11B will be faster than your internet, so in that, you won't lose speed, the same goes with 802.11G, but ethernet is either 10/100/1000, if you have 100/1000 ethernet will be faster since 802.11G is only 54 mbps
