How to do a screen print of my desktop?

ibook g4, imac 2ghz c2d, mbp 2.4ghz c2d - 10.5.1
i asume u mean as in windows terms a 'prnt screen'

in tiger use options (the apple key) then press **** (left side of the keyboard) and then press 4.

if you press 3 you can select the area you want but by pressing 4 it takes a picture of the screen.

I think he means "shift"

4=select area
3=whole screen
