hi,

firstly, id like to say i am a happy chappy with my new mbp c2d!!

secondly, id like to ask a tech question regarding using a dell E207WFP monitor, whose "optimal preset resolution" is 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz ( http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/e207wfp?c=hk&cs=hkdhs1&l=en&s=dhs )....

the max res on mbp 15" is 1440 x 900. there wont be any loss in quality from the monitor will there? im a nooby with screen resolutions etc.. please forgive.

In the mac store and at home on my iMac
It looks like a good monitor... there wil lbe no problems with the internal screen having a 1440*900 and the external having 1680*1050

Congrats on the Macbook pro and welcome to the forums!

Will the external screen run at 1440x900, or can the MBP/MB's run higher resolution on the external screens?
