Is it possible to install Simply Mepis or Unbuntu on my G3 Ibook?

I would like to dual boot Mac OS 10.39 and either Unbuntu or Simply Mepis linux.

I don't remember Simply Mepis being able to install on a Mac but Ubuntu. When you install Ubuntu it will give you the option of dual booting if you desire.
