kassina maculata. they are also known as the red-legged walking/running frog or the re-legged pan frog. they are known for living mostly in south africa.

here is a link that shows you how they move.

http://jeb.biologists.org/cgi/content/full/207/3/399/DC1

I have never been much of a frog fan untill I saw these guys at a local reptile store. I always hated how frogs jumped around everywhere but these guys are cool because they do very little jumping. They will just sit and chill in your hand most of the time.

do a google search on them and you will find tons of cool pictures and information on them.

I saw this shadow cast on the wall from the low winter sun. I thought the snap would make a good desktop background.

Nice shot. Did you edit it so the surf was brighter, or is this the basic image from the camera? You have an excellent eye.

As for Australia. Go well you can, and take the girlfriend. If not now, than plan for it.

I think they are called snow paws, with the diamondish white patch between the eyes and white paws. I dont have any really good shots of our cat, nor were they taken in December

i've always hear them refered to as "tuxedo".
had one a while back. i think it was a siamese mix with the tuxedo coloration. didn't meow right, just went "maaaaaaaah".

Canadiens would be better than the Bruins, but ideally he would play for the Sabres...then any Canadien team (as long as I can move up there with him)

I don't really spend much money except on my computers and camera equipment. I have been using the Rebel for a few years now but am close to having enough to get the 5D probably this summer.

My lenses are
50mm f1.8
70-200 L f2.8 IS
100-400 L f4.5-5.6 IS
24-70 L f/2.8

Well one day I have to get me at least one of those L lenses. That 100-400 L IS must be amazing. That shot of the moon is so crisp and sharp, it's it's it's it's to die for...
