I saw a 700 gig external hard drive the other day. Whats the biggest one around? Do you know of any good deals on any external hard drive?

I've seen upwards of 1 TB external Firewire drives out there. Just be prepared to pay.

There are lots of price comparison sites out there. Here's a link to one of them.

I *think* that 750 GB is the biggest *single* drive available. When you buy one of those 1 TB or larger drives, I believe it is actually two physical drives in one enclosure, using something like LVM (Logical Volume Management) to make them look like one extended drive. Certainly all of the 1 TB drives I have seen are in VERY thick packages, quite consistent with containing two physical drives.
