Hi,
First of all, I'm a newbie and have no knowledge of scripting for Mac. I need someone's help to figure out how I can automatically detect and install Java plugin on a Mac using shell script or anything. The requirement is that when I mount a CD and click on an app bundled in the CD, a script will do the checking and installation. I know that Mac OS X comes with Java 1.4.2 (for Safari) but the requirement is that I cannot assume this but have to do the detection first. Can someone please help me???
Thanks.
