Can't record audio?

Hi,

I have a Mini Mac and I attached a Creative SD-50 mic to record a voice over but it will not record? I am using garage band and I also tried Toast.

The mic works fine on my PC

I tried changing audio in settings but nothing is working?

Any suggestions?

If you go to GarageBand>Preferences>Audio/MIDI, what options show in the Audio Input pull down menu?

Can you see your mic in the menu?

When you go to System Preferences>Sound and select the input button, then select the Line In option, can you see any activity in the Input Level monitor?

My gut feeling tells me this mic is for use with a SoundBlaster sound card and unless someone know differently, may only work on your PC.

Well it seems the Mini Mac has no audio in!!! This was a over sight on my part as I really bought it in a hurry and for a great price.

I just ordered this and hope it will answer my problem
