I was thinking about getting a 20-inch Apple Cinema display but at $700 I just can't understand why it's so much.

For $600 I can t get TWO Samsung 20-inch widescreen displays. Granted to my knowledge I can't hook two displays up to my MacBook (can I?) but I can hook two up to my Linux machine.

So why should I buy one Apple display?

Bottom line is yes, Apple's displays are seriously overpriced.
There is nothing that sets them apart from a third party display... except for the Apple logo, which is enough for some people. :black:
