I got a job!

Well it's kind of hard finding places that hire at 14-15. So my friend Mike and I had an idea, since Mike is known throughout my city as caveman cause he stands at an intersection headbanging, we made a sign that said "If u like my dance honk or throw money." We made $30 is 2 hours =D So there, I have a pointless job of holding up a sign. Out of that I got $15 so i'm closer to buying my Mac.

It's good you are making money legitimately, but you live in a major city and can't get a job because you are 14? That doesn't make sense. I was able to work when I turned fourteen (as a receptionist)--that's when work permits are available for you.

Your ingenuity is to be admired. Hope you get your Mac soon.

Tampa is one of my hometowns and I will say that it isn't necessarily a hotbed for jobs. But you are allowed to work at 14...

being allowed to work at 14 and working at 14 are two totally different subjects. sure, the state says your allowed to work but places dont want to hire you for various reasons. a big one is that you cant drive. i dont think they want you calling in and saying "my mom cant drive me today so i cant come in." its not exactly fair but thats life.

Ah the good ol' days.

When I was 14, I worked at a golf course with my brother. I rode with him every morning to work.
