Have an imac G4 that won't boot - tried everything. In desperation, I'm trying a new installation of OSX onto an external (firewire HD) and hoping to use the mac from there, whilst trying to repair the resident HD.
The installation seems to have gone OK and it's rebooted and is asking for all the stuff you'd expect from a new install. The imac has an airport, so it's asked for the WEP key of the Router, done that, but now it's asking for the DHCP Client ID - haven't a clue what that is or where to find it, can anyone kindly advise please?
