Need Mac Help please.

Ok, 2 things wrong with my mac;


1. My dad uses Thunderbird, but like 2 weeks ago when he tried to go on and check his mail, nothing came up except a little line. I tried everything to fix it but nothing worked. Click here for screenshot.


2. Whenever I try to drag an image or a program or whatever to the desktop, this comes up: "[insertnameofwhateverhere] cannot be moved because 'Desktop' can not be modified."

Please help.

Bump...

Not sure about the first one, but the second one sounds like a permission problem. Have you tried running the disk utility application and repair permissions. That may resolve the desktop problem.

Just so we can help you better, and not repeat suggestions for what you have already done... what exactly is "everything"?
If you list ALL of the steps and methods you have tried it will make it easier for others to help you out.
