Hey there...just got our iBook and Airport Extreme Card/Station. I was/am amazed at the setup ease! There was no setup. I really did just plug in the station and the signal was there. Very nice and good looking too.
Now the question. Pops has suggested restricting the network by MAC address. Is there a simple set of steps to do this?
Question two...along the same lines I tried to set a WEP pw in the Airport Admin Utility, but whenever I do the signal is lost, the utility no longer sees the station, and I am forced to hard reset and go back to the default.
Other details....The base station goes to a Linksys 4-port router which is connected to a cable modem.
Any ideas on doing what was suggested or other security techniques?
