I think if apple were allowed to join this competition (they might not be allowed because they are not part of the pc world that uses windows) that they would have a solid chance at winning, and I would like to see what they create. However, I don't think it would be a hands down win, since there are plenty of other creative people out there who would want to win this, that don't neccesarily work for apple.

I wish they'd open this up to freelance designers, and not just manufacturers, but, eh...

You should check out sony's line up. aside from apple, they seem to be the only major manufacturer that spends some serious R&D on the aesthetics of their machines.

some of their best:

that sony pc just mimics the imac's sleek all-in-one design and i must say that the laptop strongly resembles the MBP. totally agree, apple already won this contest even though theyre not allowed to enter!>:O

I like the sony all in one better then the apple, but won't buy it because I love osx, and if I need windows I have a cheap dell tower.

The all in one sony from like 3-4 years ago was sick, I really wanted one!
