Warranty and repairs in Poland

Your Mac's Specs
Mac Book Pro, 1.83 GHz, 1.5 gigs RAM, 80 GB, AND NO HEAT ISSUES!!
A friend of mine is considering getting a Macbook, and the key sticking point is whether it will:
a. Be able to be repaired in Poland
b. still have the same warranty coverage in Poland.

She had heard that if you get a computer in the US, they don't cover it outside the US. Any info would be greatly appreciated
