I am actually pretty pleased with today's annoucements. The games are great and the new iTunes (w/CoverFlow) is awesome. Though it will take some adjusting to. The nano is awesome and will scrach so much less. And as for the shuffle I'm going to buy one sometime soon...it's awesome. Then only thing I'm not super excited about it movies. $15! I would rather pay 17 or 18 and get the full quality DVD and extras.
iTunes has so many great new features. I won't talk aobut obvious ones but many might go unnoticed. If you do Get Info for a video and go to the video tab of the window that appears...you can choose the video type. We no longer need to use programs like Lostify or Parsley is Atomically Delicious! Also, iTunes can now convert some videos for the iPod, get album artwork, get imported track info, and more.
There are a few iTunes features I don't love. First is they took away the visualizer button and now its a keyboard shortcut or a trip to the menu. Same goes for the equalizer. Also, they took away the arrow buttons that could bring you to the artist/alabum/etc in Music Store or your own music. The only ones you see are the selected song and the playing song. The new look will take getting used to but it's nothing that bothers me. It also seems weird they'd change a logo/icon so many people have known for the past few years of ther lives. I'm sure I'll get used to it but for now it's very awkward feeling. Finally, I'm not sure I like the new video controls in the video window. They are helpful and quicker but they look a little to much YouTube and not enough Apple.
I wish...they would release the new iPod search feature to all 5G's. (I'm sure they will eventually) I would also like them to update everyone's purchased videos to the new high quality ones. Probably won't happen but, hey, it'd be nice.
