Illustrator CS problem

Help!!! We have installed Illustrator CS on one of our machines running OSX 10.3 and it acts like it is going to open up and then when it acts like it is going to open the file gives an offending error and locks up!!!! We unloaded everything and then re-installed it, however, it did not help. It is on a 1.25Ghz G4, 180GbHD.

Can anyone help??? It worked yesterday, and we created a file in it and now can not work on the file.

give us some more information....what does the error message say...it might be just junk to you..but to one of us it could be your solution
