hey i just got a brand new macbook pro. 1 gb ram, 2.16 ghz intel core duo processor. i just installed reason on it and tried to play the demo song. it glitches and says that my "computer is too slow to play the song." are you kidding me? it plays fine on my dell that's over 3 years old. does anyone know how to fix this? i tried increasing the buffer within reason but it only helps a little. please help, any advice is appreciated.

p.s: would it help if i installed windows onto the mac then ran reason off that?

Correct me if I am wrong anyone, but I don't believe that Reason 3 is universal yet. It is going to run under Rosetta emulation on an Intel machine, therefore it will be slower than running natively on a PPC processor.
Run it by itself, freeing up all the RAM you can. Reason is a RAM hungry app to begin with, so running under emulation will require even more RAM.

Yea dude, I did the same thing hoping it would fly...but instead it was unbelievably slow. Im upgrading to 2GB ram and I think even that wont help...this whole software/hardware resolution is really aggravating. I bought a highspeed computer for a reason and now everything runs 5x slower...i dont understand why developers dont speed up the process. the Intel processors have been out for almost a YEAR!!!! HURRY UP!

Yes, there are. Right here

After you purchase the software you are given a key and you can then register it.

It sounds like your only problem is you need more RAM. I just go a new macbook pro and it's runs reason like a beast. It also has 4 GB of RAM. I used to have a macbook with only 1 GB of RAM and it glitched alllll the time!

The main cause of Reason glitching on Mac's is down to airport! If you have airport connected whilst running Reason turn it off and see if that helps! ;)

I rewire Reason through logic on a macbook of the same spec with no problems at all!
