I had the same issue wiht mine. I just reinstalled Mac OS X and took out some of the languages that I would never dream of using, then took out all the demo software. Now I have 43.87Gb free on my 80Gb drive
Another thing to remember is there's only about 74.2Gb usable on a 80Gb drive.

i dont have no mac's
there is a program named monolingual that will remove yoyur languages without the need for a reinstall.

and yes there is only so much usable and then your operating system is going to take up a bunch of space

Monolingual and Delocalizer do more or less the same thing.

Btw, is there a proper way to remove applications for mac like window's add/remove program?

Or do you just drag it into the trash?

I just ran monolingual and removed everything but English, US English, and Canadian English, now I'm getting messages that turn up in Japanese (I think).. Take a look..

One thing you have to make sure not to do in Monolingual is deletee your older architectures (aka what you need for Rosetta).

Sadly, I was a noob, I speak from experience.

I didn't delete anything but the languages, did not touch the architecture or input at all

the official way is to just drag them into the trash, but that leaves other files from that program all over your hd. there's a program call appzapper that will delete everything associated with whatever program you're deleting.
