My daughter borrowed my wife's iMac, an older one, system 9 and for some reason changed the password to get on the computer. It hasn't been used in awhile so when i went to get on it tonight, up pops my daughters log on, no problem call my daughter, she doesn't remember what it is. Where is start up disk, she can't find them either. I can start it up with norton but how can i change the password or turn it off?

I know there is another way, but I am not familiar with OS 9.
My idea would be to reformat.

If you can get to the hard drive with the norton bootup, go into System - preferences and delete all prefs for MultiUser.
Reboot.
