I didn't even know iChat could tap into Google's gChat, but using Jabber, it apparently can.

Here is the link to the instructions.

They're very clear and work perfectly.

I use gChat (with Firefox) at work all of the time, but I have a few friends that stay at home and don't want to keep a Firefox (gChat doesn't support Safari) window open. So, I found this tut on Google's help pages and figured some of my fellow Mac-Foruminians could benefit from it. :mac:

Is that the proper way to say it? "Mac-Foruminians"? :p

Oppsie! I do it from time to time, wrong url. Most of the time I see if before anyone else does and fix it.

Very good info though. Few people I know seem to know what you can do with ichat.
