I've searched Google and these forums, and couldn't find anything, but here's the story:
I tried installing Ubuntu from the dvd I downloaded (yes properly burned the .iso file through disk utility). I HAVE sucessfully installed Windows XP in the past on my iMac 17". So, I opened up boot camp, partitioned, and started the windows installation with my Ubuntu disk in the DVD drive. Started install, everything went well until I had to choose which disk to mount onto. I chose the third disk (the one I partitioned for Windows) and it didn't work. I tried formatting the drive, and it still didn't work. I was thinking, maybe I have to partition the drive, restart OS X, then in disk utility reformat the drive as a UNIX drive?
