looking 4 best photo proggy 2 use with DW8

leaning toward photoshop CS2...however the learning curve looks like a bit of a HUMP..LOL

any ideas for a "NEW" web designer here who needs to learn the software prior to use?? perhaps one is best for gif's and another for jpg's / swf's / etc???

have DW8 / fireworks and CS2 for mac...just overwhelmed.

i dont have no mac's
well for manipulationg your images and then saving them in a good way for the web photoshop is the way to go, and then you import them into dreamweaver. that is my suggestion

Photoshop has been a staple to go to DW, especially ImageReady. There are several great tutorials on the CS disks and online CreativeCow.net is one, a quick google will bring up countless others.

guess i will just knuckle down with this tutorial for CS2.
