Hey guys. How are the third party wireless USB adaptors? Does anyone use these?

I want to put this iMac G4 in my daughters room, but it's 2 floors up from my network. I already have a wireless network running using a Linsys access point. Can I just buy one of those USB cards, put in this iMac, and connect right to the existing network? I would assume so, but I've assumed wrong in the past. :)

Thanks

P.S. I'm loving my new Macbook. I'm pretty blown away by it.

No:

There are only a few that work reliably under Tiger, some that are labeled 'mac compatible' cause kernel panics etc.

I'd go to an apple store and ask the resident genius to recommend/sell you one that they know will work. (They should since apple doesn't offer the original airport anymore)

This is currently a real pain for a lot of my customers looking to get an older non-aiport-extreme equipped mac on the internet.
