Apple has its eye on Maya

I heard rumor in a 3D graphics forum that apple was looking to buy maya from Aliaswavefront...

I think it would be a good investment, but I dont see why Aliaswavefront would just sell... and Pixar (owned by steve jobs, for those that dont know) uses Lightwave 3D, so maybe this isnt inaccurate anyway.

this rumor was announced August 2002, anyone hear anything?
