Hi new member here and I need some help! I've uploaded photos from a recent vacation to the computer successfully and want to burn them to a disc. Whenever I try to drag and drop any file and release the mouse button the file returns back to it's location, I've also tried holding the command button down when dragging the file but that doesn't work either when released. My current version is OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 Thanks for any help.

Welcome to Mac-Forums..

Use an application like Burn (http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/Pages/English/home.html) to create a CD/DVD with your images. You might, however, find using an external drive easier to use for long term storage of your pictures than burning to a CD.

Thank you! I'll try that and let you know.

Make sure it's a disc which can write data them try exporting. Slide in the CD, open Photos, select the images then File > Export (choose sizes from drop down menus), Export to your disc.
