Hi! I'm sorry if I can't be understood, I'm not a native english speaker

I want to install Windows 8 on my mac. I tried partitioning my disk but I can't because of the following problem:

I tried turning my computer off and quitting every app and it still won't work.
I'm not a tech genius so I really can't see what is that I'm doing wrong.

Thank you! :)

Welcome to our forums.

1. You can not perform operations on your disk while using it. The disk is still mounted (see the message above about the boot helper). You must boot to Recovery first.

2. You can not arbitrarily partition your disk for Windows 8. You must use the Boot Camp Assistant which can be found in "Applications, Utilities".

Please do some research on how to install Windows using Boot Camp. And check to make sure that your Mac can run Windows 8. Late model Macs can not run Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, they can only run Windows 10. You didn't tell us which Mac you have or what version of macOS it's running.

(Your English is good.)
