Am I correct in thinking that I will be unable to install Win 7 pro on my late 2015 27" iMac 5k Retina using bootcamp even though i have a full install disk and iso image on USB?
I am running bootcamp v 6.1. I have spent the last hour trawling through all the posts and used advanced search but no joy. The answer is probably there somewhere but i haven't been able to find it.

Thanks.

You are correct. You need Windows 10 not 7. You can find out which versions are supported by using the Apple Knowledge Base.

I thought so, I only wanted to use win 7 for a couple of games i have which will not run on anything after 7. I guess I will have to run it on my 2010 MBP via the 27" display.
Thanks for the quick response.

You could always use a virtual machine, if you really wanted to.

Thanks Bob. I had given that some thought but one of the games i want to use is MS flight sim and apparently it is a bit too power hungry to work well on VM software.
