I have almost completed conversion from my PC to my Macbook but one element remains.............As I enjoy photography I find the MACbook screen rather small. I want to connect the MACBook to my 23 inch AOC screen which has capability with 2 spare HDMI slots. MAC has a small 800 Firewire slot and a mini-display slot.
My question is.....what plug do I need at the MAC end and which slot do I use? I assume that the MAC will just pick up the big screen when connected.

If your MacBook does have Mini Displayport connections. that would be the one to use. Something like this should do the trick nicely. I've ordered from these folks before and their knowledge and support has been top notch if you have a question.

I am current using an adapter from a company called Moread which has connections for DVI, VGA, and HDMI on the same adapter. Think I paid about $20.00 for it. Be aware that these connectors are relatively easy to find but some appear to be complete junk.
