:Blushing:Good morning everyone.. I was missing replies to my questions so after some time I found a setting which is to be advised of replies to posts by "email daily" which i'm hoping will now be right. What I would like to know is if i can retrospectively subscribe. I have missed seeing the opportunity to Subscribe to thread when making a post so nothing is in my folder. Can I do this after the fact ? Does subscribe to thread only become visible at time of posting please? And then there is the matter of subscribing to threads that aren't my own.

I believe if you open your member username you'll find a option to add a thread to your "Subscriptions" list.

Also, Quick Links -> Subscriptions and an option to the left to add etc.

Maybe an Admin or Moderator will chime in with more or complete accurate info.

@Aussie:

What Patrick was referring to by "membership username" is your profile which you can find at the top menu under "My Profile". When your profile infomation page opens, you should see options to select on the left side. One of those options will be subscribing to the threads you start or participate in.

BTW, what's with the name "Aussie" for someone who lives in NZ? :)

Isn't that what an Aussie would call themselves if they've moved and live in NZ, as God forbid they wouldn't want to be called a native "Kiwi". ;)

And God forbid, I sure hope they escaped most of the recent earthquakes and storm, wind, rain and floods there and all are safe and well.

That's part of the same earthquake zone ring we live in, but on the other side!!!

Mmmm..I thought I had set the settings to be advised of replies but it still doesn't work. I have logged in just on offchance and there are replies. I suppose it is possible i might yet receive a daily email advising me of responses. I prefer this site to Apple Support but I would like to make it work. I did look on the left side for subscriptions but it is empty so i have to work out how to put things there. Probably will work it out if I apply myself and focus better. coming on forums is last resort.

Thank you for taking time to reply pm-r. I was aware of the Subscription option, what I need to figure out is how to put items there. Maybe I will get a cup of tea later and try to think clearly. My main issue is how to make sure I'm advised of replies to my posts.. I changed the settings but won't know until end of today or perhaps tomorrow if it is going to work. Don't like to ignore respondents because i don't know the replies are there.

Born and raised Melbourne. Live Wellington. Very much felt earthquake. Most scared I have been in long time here. Happened at midnight, rolled out of bed, crouched on floor, pillow on head. It seemed to go on and on. Quake was centred near top of South Island, Wellington is bottom of North. Some buildings damaged in the city and a couple need demolishing and yes on top of that we had severe rain, flooding, houses slipping. However Kaikoura ( near top of south) very badly affected but only 2 deaths, one of which was very sad. Roads impassable and have needed helicopter and warships from about 3 countries to evacuate people ( especially tourists) and take in supplies.. they are out of things you don't think of. Even a nappy run was necessary not to mention port a loos. Aftershocks have settled down so we hope for best. Wellington was lucky, it would seriously be major if it went down.. more so than Christchurch when it happened there. Not computer issues, I know, but nice to know you are aware.

I was reading a page earlier today that was listing almost 400 recent shocks of 2+ and above that have occurred there within the last 24 hours. That's almost unbelievable and God awful scary just to think of…
