So i downloaded bootcamp got all of that done and good to go. But my FN keys are FN keys not the special keys. When I go to Boot Camp Control Panel and go to Keyboard. It is already set to not using FN keys. Tried turning that off and on again but no luck.

G'day and welcome to the forums.

What do you mean you 'downloaded' BootCamp? It is in the Utitilites folder on whatever your Mac may be. What do you mean 'special' keys? The Fn key is bottom left on most keyboards and in the middle of the numeric keyboard. Or do you mean you are using a PC keyboard with your Mac?

Sorry downloaded is the wrong word. I used boot camp then got Windows installed and everything. When I go into windows everything is running well. However the Functions keys (F1-F12) are just the Function Keys not the brightness and sound(special keys). When I go to the Boot Camp Control Panel on Windows and go to the Keyboard Tab it tells me that the Function Keys are not running as the Function keys but as the Special Keys.

That's how they're supposed to be (special keys to control sound, brightness, etc.). If they're not, it may be a driver problem. Did you download the boot camp drivers from Apple when you were installing Windows?

Sorry for the late reply. I forgot my charger back home and I had to drive back which I couldn't do right away. And Yes I did download the drivers. Except I had Windows 8.1 then I upgraded to Windows 10 did that effect it? Do i need to re download drivers? I did upgrade right away as I saw it was free.

Oh and the first suggestion didn't work.

Open Control Panel and select Boot Camp. Then see if there are any Boot Camp updates by selecting that option. If everything was working OK with Windows 8.1, it should have been likewise for Windows 10 but it's possible that the Boot Camp drivers need to be updated.
