To upgrade my OS I'm going to lose Photoshop & I don't use most of it. (1.) Is there a "Free" App that does just the very basic Photoshop stuff? Changing levels of contrast, color levels, sharpness, text, etc. (2.) I'd also like a movie editor that is simple like the old iMovie HD, that was so, so, so simple & did everything I wanted! I still use it OS 10.6.8 with a sneaky "work around" for iMovie HD!

Thanx!

Hi again Mr. D - a week ago you started this thread Free app with basic uses of Photoshop?? (http://www.mac-forums.com/images-graphic-design-and-digital-photography/332114-free-app-basic-photoshop.html?highlight=) - why not simply continue that discussion rather than having the same posters repeat themselves or other responders not aware of the previous thread giving the same advice?

Did you ever see if Preview can serve some of your needs, as I described in the other thread? I came into OS X at 10.8 so not familiar with what the older version offers. Dave :)

iPhotos, which is what you have with your OS, will do what you want apart from text.

Gimp (free) will do more fancy stuff, plus there is a plug-in for texts.
