Hi,

I was interested in a folder i found in application support in my 2011 21 inch iMac, which it
indicates was created on 12.6.2015.
It only has the letter 'T'. No other information.
also discovered one created on 10.15.2015 called icdd.
Much Thanks,
paula

1. First of all, you need to explain EXACTLY why and how you got into a hidden folder, and what you were doing there.

2. This folder is created when you enable a root user, which refers us back to question 1. Unless you are EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the workings of UNIX and OS X, you are skating on SUPER THIN ice there.

i was looking in my application support folder and noticed some changes. Should mention i had apple replace a graphic card a week ago. if those files are supposed to be hidden then it must be that apple tech did something.

That was probably all done by the tech, so just leave it alone. If your Library folder in your home folder is visible, that was an error on the part of the tech.

Maybe not. A 2011 iMac could very well be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. The user library folder was visible in Snow Leopard. My 2011 iMac came with Snow Leopard 10.6.6 installed.

Good catch, Charlie, thanks.

Still -- that's not an area where a user should be looking, or messing around in, without a specific reason.
