Some time ago, I purchased an 'AGPTek' USB inspection camera. This is a handy little camera on a long, 15m line that is used for inspecting pipes, chimneys, wall cavities, that sort of thing. When I first bought it, I used it to inspect my furnace's exhaust/intake lines for clogs. I haven't had a need to use it in quite some time, but the last time I did, it worked great under OS X's Image Capture.

Today, I am trying to run Ethernet through my house and I have a wall cavity that I'm trying to see into. Image Capture doesn't seem to see that the camera is plugged in, even though it is lit up and looks like it's live. I did manage to find a piece of Shareware called miXscope that looks like it works with it, but I'm surprised that I have to do this at all. Evidently, this uses some kind of a Quicktime protocol to stream the video (at least that's what setting works under 'miXscope'). Did Apple drop support for certain kinds of USB cameras by chance?

Just curious Chris. Do you remember the last time you successfully used it (what OS version). Just wondering if we're talking one OS version ago or multiple.
